About the role:

Based in Budapest, the Head of HR for EE markets reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for the overall people agenda, leveraging and maximizing the impact of the total End-2-End operating model. The HR Head is a member of the Leadership team.

The purpose of the HR Director role is to partner effectively with businesses and functions within the market to implement and embed the Global Diageo and CEE HR Strategy such that the people and talent agendas guarantee and amplify organizational performance. They will also strongly collaborate with all areas of the business including Sales, marketing, corporate relations and finance.

Role Responsibilities:

The role has significant people leadership responsibility; therefore they will need to lead, inspire and develop a high performing HR team professionals with HRBP's and COE roles and role model as a leader into the organization including closer partnership with HR GBO team.

Key objectives and specific accountabilities include:

  • Partner with the functional leadership teams to build and deliver ambitious and innovative talent plans which includes robust succession planning to future proof the business, resourcing for our biggest opportunities at pace, building a strong proactive pipeline of talent, and creating exciting, accelerated career path for people which accelerates their development.
  • Lead the Organization Effectiveness agenda across the organization - grounded in the functional strategy and by using data and analytics, creating possibilities that results in successful and innovative performance, delivers cost efficiencies, and injects the right reinvestments. Deliver against overheads Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and deliver our key Organizational Effectiveness metrics while delivering improved financial performance.
  • Drive inclusion, diversity and equity agenda that creates an inclusive culture where each employee feels valued for their uniqueness and can improve their impact through fulfilling employee experiences.
  • Install a continuous learning culture throughout the organization ensuring employees have access to stretching experiences and great learning content that fuels constant growth in their capabilities and our business performance.
  • Build impactful teams, coaching exec and extended leadership leaders and line managers to create an agile, stretching and focused performance culture to enables outstanding performance.
  • Enable the culture transformation within the functions including the continued embedding of the Dial Up Behaviors, supporting and challenging leaders to adopt agility and speed, and driving accountability for bold and confident decision making.
  • Unlock performance and support to create high performing teams with distributors partners.

Experience / skills required:
  • Business acumen, able to engage in business development decisions with significant credibility.
  • Entrepreneurial flare; courageous and capable of managing ambiguity.
  • Results driven and thorough in approach.
  • Resourceful and critical thinking.
  • Results driven, proactive, executional.
  • Great leadership and influencing/coaching skills, including senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience as an HR professional. Experience in different HR areas such as talent, reward & HRBP; ER is preferable.
  • People-orientated and strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills with a positive attitude and empathetic in approach.
