Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Role Purpose
Lead end-to-end engineering design and execution of Diageo India's CAPEX portfolio (₹200-300 Cr annually) across bottling, process plants, distillation, utilities, infrastructure, safety & quality compliance, ESG and productivity initiatives. Deliver 50-60 multi-site projects OTIF while driving standardised engineering practices, frugal automation, digitisation, and future-fit manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery & CAPEX Management (70%)
- Deliver all CAPEX projects OTIF, covering utilities (chillers, boilers, WTP/ETP), buildings, tanks, piping, warehouses, bottling/process infrastructure, automation & ESG upgrades.
- Lead engineering design, master planning, architecture, civil/MEP, fire protection, HVAC and statutory compliance.
- Ensure standardisation of designs across plants and adherence to GEP, building codes and global/Indian standards.
- Manage business cases, feasibility studies, cashflows, risks, commissioning & handover.
2. Technical Expertise & Engineering Excellence
- Apply deep knowledge of distillery/brewing/process operations, packaging lines and industrial utilities.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing utilities, material handling, warehousing and facility operations.
- Scout, evaluate and validate new technologies (automation, utilities, warehousing, digital solutions) and drive POCs and horizontal deployment.
3. Supplier & Ecosystem Management (10%)
- Build a strong network of OEMs, EPCs, consultants & technology partners.
- Lead partner onboarding, performance reviews, benchmarking and cost-efficient sourcing.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance (10%)
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Legal, EHS, R&D and site engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Ensure compliance with CPCB/SPCB norms, building codes, EPR, water/energy/waste regulations and Diageo global standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, audits, reports and regulatory submissions.
5. Reporting, Leadership & Stakeholder Influence (10%)
- Provide clear visibility of portfolio status, dashboards, POCs and performance KPIs.
- Mentor engineering teams (direct + matrix) while performing largely as an individual contributor for high-complexity projects.
- Influence senior stakeholders with strong communication, analytical and presentation skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- MBA/M.Tech preferred; certifications in Project Management, Energy, Automation, Warehousing desirable.
- 10-15 years in engineering & CAPEX projects with strong exposure to FMCG/Beverages/Distillery/Manufacturing; 8-10 years in utilities & infrastructure.
- Experience managing large CAPEX portfolios (₹50-100 Cr+), delivering one greenfield and one mega brownfield project.
- Skilled in SAP, MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel; experience in multi-site project delivery and vendor management.
