Facilities Lead

2 days ago Sydney, Australia

Who are we?

While the name Diageo may be unfamiliar to you, our brands have most likely been with you while you create unforgettable moments of connection and celebration. Imagine supporting the future of some of the world's most-loved spirits brands - Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Bundaberg Rum - and growing possibilities within rising favourites like Don Julio, Ciroc, Ello and Aviation Gin. By joining Diageo Australia, you'll work alongside passionate teams across eight national locations, helping us deliver incredible performance while growing your own capability and career.

What will your role be?

As Diageo Australia's National Facilities Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our offices and manufacturing sites run smoothly, safely and efficiently every day. This role is hands-on and operational, overseeing maintenance activities, service contracts, vendor relationships, space management and site readiness so our people can work in environments that support productivity, comfort and safety. You'll help create workplaces that reflect Diageo's commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

You'll support the rollout of Diageo's facilities plans across Australia, contributing to decisions around budgeting, site upkeep and space utilisation. Working closely with Supply, HR, Finance and HSE, you'll make sure our sites remain compliant, audit-ready and aligned with Diageo's sustainability and safety expectations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to day-to-day operations while still contributing to meaningful improvements across our footprint.

Please note this is an initial 18-month contract opportunity.

What does this role look like for you?

  • Coordinate the delivery of Diageo's facilities plans across all Australian sites, ensuring day-to-day maintenance, services and workplace operations run effectively and meet global standards.
  • Partner with HSE and site teams to maintain compliance, support audits, and contribute to environmental, sustainability and Society 2030 initiatives.
  • Manage the facilities budget and identify practical efficiencies in service contracts, maintenance schedules and site operations.
  • Lead and develop the FM team (direct reports + contractor network), building capability through coaching, feedback and hands-on operational support.
  • Work closely with Operations, HR, Procurement, Compliance and other teams to ensure smooth site operations and support business needs, including office moves and integration activity.
  • Help foster an inclusive, safe and high-performing culture by championing best practice and encouraging continuous improvement across workplace environments.

What will you bring to the table?
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement or a related field.
  • Around 5+ years' experience in Facilities Management, Real Estate or Procurement, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing or similarly fast-paced environments.
  • Experience leading teams or contractors and supporting a positive, safety-focused workplace culture.
  • Strong working knowledge of budgeting, compliance and vendor management for multi-site operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, SAP and planning tools, with the ability to turn data into clear actions and decisions.
  • A practical, solutions-driven mindset with strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
