As an ESG Reporting Analyst, you will play an important role in delivering Society 2030: Spirit of Progress and supporting our ambition to become both the ‘best performing' and ‘most trusted and respected' company in this crucial decade of action. With increasing attention on how companies impact society, this role allows you to influence decisions using non-financial and ESG performance indicators to shape our reputation and strategy.

In this role, you will implement an integrated approach to non-financial reporting, focusing on quarterly performance tracking and ensuring consistency across our ESG data. You will coordinate the collection of evidence and attestations, analyze outcomes, and reconcile them with certifications. Your insights will help identify recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent them, while your expertise will support decision-making and problem-solving across reporting boundaries.

You will take ownership and manage key aspects of Diageo's ESG reporting as an ESG Reporting Analyst. Tasks are assigned according to annual planning and priorities. Your contributions will include:

  • Becoming the technical custodian for selected ESG data, managing reporting methodologies and boundaries
  • Coordinating training for data owners and users to ensure accurate and consistent reporting
  • Providing quality assurance as the "Second Line of Defense," designing and operating validation controls
  • Supporting ESG reporting processes, including our Annual ESG Report and disclosure tools (Wdesk, MSM, etc.)
  • Resolving reporting challenges, leveraging internal and external best practices to improve processes
  • Driving collaboration among data providers and users to ensure accuracy and assess attestations
  • Managing the validation process, ensuring all evidence is accurate and complete
  • Supporting ESG reporting projects, such as system integrations and DMA upgrades
  • Maintaining ESG data quality from both reporting and audit perspectives


About you
  • BSc or MSc in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in roles involving data gathering, analysis, and/or reporting
  • Solid risk awareness and understanding of control frameworks
  • Professional ESG qualifications or specialized education
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Ability to build practical, easy-to-use tools, mindful of time pressures, market realities, and cultural diversity
  • Skilled at developing and implementing clear project tracking systems
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams


Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Wdesk or similar disclosure tools
  • Knowledge of data assurance processes and emerging trends in corporate reporting (e.g., TCFD)
  • Familiarity with group reporting and consolidation tools such as MSM or BFC
