The delivery of excellent communication and engagement activities plays an important part in helping Diageo employees and stakeholders understand our strategy, how we support Diageo's goals, and the way we work in the organization, including how we and the business can best work together for mutual success.
The Communications Specialist will work with employees from across Diageo Budapest to orchestrate the delivery of communications and engagement within the Budapest office.
The incumbent will report to the GM of Diageo Budapest and have a dotted reporting line into the Communications and Engagement Lead.
The Communications Specialist will work closely with the Communications and Engagement Lead and the Corporate Relations Director Eastern Europe to ensure best practice communications and timely execution of global and local activities and project communications to the business.
The Communications Specialist will work with employees from Diageo Budapest to orchestrate the delivery of communications across the teams.
This role requires the individual to build good relationships with the representatives of Diageo Budapest's functions and demonstrate the ability to understand a wide range of programmes and activities.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Has visibility of some project communications; able to see all business-facing communications, including newsletters, Mosaic, Yammer, posters and other media.
- Management and development of internal and external media channels including e-newsletter, relevant Mosaic sites, Yammer, posters, leaflets etc. to engage the Budapest community in our performance
- Support on management of engagement plans
- Support the Communications and Engagement Lead and Diageo Budapest GM/LT in executing the Budapest communications strategy in line with annual business objectives
- Provide communications support to the Corporate Relations team and its stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ensures that communications are timely, relevant and accurate and channels are as streamlined and as efficient and as effective as is possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the GM and the Communications and Engagement Lead in the management and delivery of priority projects, review and manage media channels as required
- Develop internal and external communication messages based on the needs identified
- Responsible for providing templates, style guidelines, and best practices to ensure effective communications across project rollouts.
- Support the effective execution of all Diageo Budapest calls and other business relevant calls/meetings
- Serving as a coordinator of Budapest Communities
- Organize quarterly roundtable meetings and manage follow-ups
- Coordinate the subgroups making sure that they achieve increased overall visibility and higher attendance-rate at their events
- Enhance cooperation between individual subgroups in order to utilize their capacities
- Execute the Diageo Budapest engagement agenda
- Provide support to the Communications and Engagement Lead and coordinate internal and external events
- Cooperate with relevant vendors and provide appropriate input for them in order to plan and execute high level and engaging internal and external events
- Successfully execute the Budapest engagement agenda in line with the Global and communications and engagement calendar, linking to the Diageo Performance Promise
- Manage and support internal and external events
- Orchestrate key Budapest employee recognition events within budget that successfully engage and celebrate performance at key times throughout year.
- Organize events as agreed in a most cost efficient and most effective way
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with key external/internal stakeholders
- Manage Diageo Budapest Social Media platforms
- Strategy building, content creation, planning and scheduling, platform management and monitoring, reporting and advertising,
- Controls & Compliance
- Ensure relevant processes are managed in line with Diageo Controls and Risk Management (CARM) expectations and there are no deficiencies.

What you will bring:
- At least 3 years of communications experience required
- Fluency in English and Hungarian
- Excellent organisation skills
- Experience of developing communications using several vehicles
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Excellent 'technical' knowledge and skills, particularly intranets and newsletters and design.
- Excellent event coordinator skills
