Context/Scope:
Diageo is a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer categories. These brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, JεB, Smirnoff, Cîroc, Ketel One, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray and Guinness.
Diageo Business Services India serves over 70+ Diageo countries, 100+ entities in 24/6. The Bangalore centre is Diageo's largest single-site and in-house centre. A second smaller office has opened in Gurugram co-located with Diageo India. DBSI employs 1800+ people across the two centres. Both centres provide world-class business services and an open, exciting, and dynamic culture. They have global and regional responsibilities in the areas of Finance and Accounting, Commercial, Supplier and HR operations, Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data Services, Application and Technology Services amongst others.

This is underpinned by secure and stable operations and putting customers and consumers at the heart of everything we do, while adhering stringently to our Grain to Glass philosophy.
Dimensions:
The job holder reports directly to the GBO Comms and Engagement Lead.
The DBSI Communications and Engagement Manager will work closely with the AVP, GBO/DBSI Comms and Engagement, and Comms Co-ordinator as a team. They will also engage directly with key stakeholders in Diageo Business Services India, Diageo India and more broadly in Corporate Relations and HR to manage and deliver key initiatives locally.
A, Financial
Supports prudent use of the DBSI CR budget for communications and events by raising POs, tracking spends, coordinating vendors, and ensuring value for money within agreed plans.
B, Market Complexity
Requires practical understanding of employee engagement in India and the ability to collaborate across Bengaluru and Gurugram with teams from Finance, Tech, HR, Legal, and others. DBSI operates separately from Diageo India while partnering closely on shared initiatives.
C, Leadership Responsibilities
Leads on execution: plans day-to-day comms, coordinates stakeholders, manages timelines, and delivers content and events to a high standard. Influences through reliable delivery, clear communication, and strong follow-through.
Purpose of Role
Act as a core member of the GBO Communications team, you should be able to work as part of a team and independently.
• This role works closely with leadership to create the right culture and maintain high levels of employee engagement and performance in support of business strategy and priorities.
• Delivers a wide range of projects and programmes related to internal/external communication, engagement and reputation.
• Provides hands-on support to high impact change programmes, organisational change activities, etc as required.
• Acts to promote and protect DBSI and Diageo's reputation.
Top Accountabilities:
Employee Engagement & Communication
• Implement internal/external communication plans for DBSI and provide support in cross- location campaigns and programmes.
• Own and manage DBSI communications calendar, channels and content.
• Support communication planning and execution for high impact change projects for DBSI.
• Track metrics and produce regular reports/insights to improve content and channel performance
• Support DBSI LT in engaging employees with the organisation, strategy and priorities.
• Increase DBSI visibility and credibility externally with support of DBSI LT and HR.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external/internal stakeholders and build cross-functional network with internal teams.
• Help to build comms capabilities of colleagues and leaders in DBSI and drive self-sufficiency.
• Maintain regular reports on employee engagement activities, metrics and insights.

Event organization
• Plan and run in-person/virtual events and engagement activities: logistics, vendors, content, run-of-show, rehearsal, and on-day delivery.
• Supports with senior leadership visits to DBSI; manages CR related agenda, materials, events and participant readiness.
• Partner with ERGs/CSR to promote activities and drive participation; capture and share moments post-event.
Controls & Compliance
• Ensure processes align with Diageo CARE expectations; follow brand, legal, and data-privacy guidelines.
• Keep accurate records for content approvals, suppliers, and spends.
Qualifications and Experience Required
• Graduate; fluent English-strong writing and editing.
• 5-8 years of communications experience (corporate/agency/shared services preferred).
• Solid planning and hands-on execution of campaigns and events.
• Working knowledge of MS core productivity and collaboration tools, with comfort using digital platforms including SharePoint for communication and content delivery.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, ability to plan and manage multiple deadlines.
• Collaborative style; comfortable working across teams and levels.
• Experience in a global/cross-cultural environment is an advantage.
• Flexible - all corporate relations roles need to be very responsive to changing business needs.
