Commercial Manager Luxury

A Diageo Luxury Commercial Manager is a leadership role focused on driving the growth of super-premium brands by handling key customer relationships, developing commercial strategies, and leading execution in the on-trade and other luxury channels. Key responsibilities include leading all aspects of P&L for the luxury portfolipositive relationshipspartnerships with high-end retail groups, and partnering with marketing to build impactful brand activations. This role requires strong commercial competence, P&L literacy, analytical skills, and experience in luxury or high-end account management.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Financial Performance:
Accountable for accurate demand planning of the luxury portfolio, ensuring the right targets and product mix to deliver strong business P&L results and drive market share growth for the luxury brand portfolio within the assigned area.

Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with owners and managers of key retail groups and on-trade accounts (bars, restaurants, etc.).

Strategy & Planning:
Develop and complete a clear and powerful commercial plan based on market knowledge and consumer insights to win market share and drive balanced growth.

Brand Activation:
Collaborate closely with the Luxury Marketing and Advocacy teams to ensure brands are embedded in culture through outstanding activations, driving availability and brand "talkability" in high-end outlets.

POS Brilliant Execution:
Work hand-in-hand with the shopper team to develop strong visibility campaigns with powerful calls to action and exhibition toolkits that build a compelling shopper journey.

Execution & Distribution:
Consistently deliver against distribution and execution targets, ensuring strong brand visibility and high standards of implementation.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead a team (where applicable) and work cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) and external partners (distributors, agencies) to achieve shared objectives.

Ideal Experience and Qualifications

Commercial Experience:
Confirmed leadership experience in luxury product categories or high-end accounts, preferably within the FMCG or drinks industry.

Commercial Competence:
Strong understanding of P&L management, ROI-based decision-making, negotiation skills, and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.

Luxury Attitude:
A genuine passion for and deep understanding of the luxury market, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.

Relationship Building:
Outstanding networking, communication, and influencing skills to handle diverse collaborators and build strong, collaborative relationships both internally and externally.

Proactive Approach:
An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new commercial opportunities and a bias for action to create momentum in the market.
