About the role

In this role, you will act as a key analytics and insight partner to the Commercial and Field Sales teams, enabling better decision-making through best-in-class reporting and data-driven insights. The Commercial Analyst owns the development of robust, scalable performance reporting and translates complex data into clear commercial stories that drive execution and impact at the point of purchase.

This role combines strong technical capability (Power BI, data modelling) with a commercial mindset, ensuring analytics are tightly linked to business priorities, performance improvement, and growth opportunities.

Role Responsibilities
Commercial Insight & Business Partnering

  • Act as a data-driven sparring partner for Commercial and Field Sales Leaders, shaping performance discussions through clear insights and recommendations.
  • Translate commercial strategy into measurable KPIs, dashboards, and performance tracking frameworks.
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities in sales, distribution, pricing, and execution performance.
  • Support leadership decision-making by turning analysis into practical, action-oriented commercial guidance.
Reporting & Analytics Excellence
  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end Power BI reporting solutions, including data models, DAX measures, and intuitive dashboard experiences tailored to business users.
  • Own the monthly market and performance reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance across Benelux & Nordics.
  • Partner with the Analytics and Technology teams to continuously improve data pipelines, metrics definitions, and reporting standards.
Performance Monitoring & Decision Support
  • Deliver monthly performance deep-dives highlighting execution quality, KPI progress, and root causes of under- or over-performance.
  • Provide analytical support for Monthly Business Reviews, Demand Reviews, and ad-hoc commercial questions.
  • Support target setting, forecasting, and incentive tracking with robust, traceable data and clear performance logic.
  • Ensure insights are clearly communicated to non-technical audiences through compelling narratives and visuals.

  • Work closely with Technology Product Owners and data leads to ensure reporting tools and data sources remain fit-for-purpose and aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor data quality, metric consistency, and system changes impacting commercial reporting.
  • Support adoption of reporting tools by end users through training, documentation, and continuous improvement.


About You
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, or sales performance roles, preferably within FMCG.
  • Advanced Power BI expertise (data modelling, DAX, performance optimization, UX principles).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect data insights to revenue, margin, and execution outcomes.
  • Experience presenting complex analysis clearly and confidently to senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Curious, structured thinker with a strong drive to improve how data supports business decisions.
  • Python skills are a nice to have, but not mandatory.
