The Product Manager I/Technical Product Owner is responsible for the detailed facilitation and championing all stages of the product delivery life cycle, execution of strategy against roadmaps, strategic sequencing of initiatives, epic and feature development, and definition of measurable outcomes and technology delivery of specific business outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs). In addition, this position manages day-to-day requirements, programs, and special features while working cross-functionally and collaboratively with go-to-market, operations, and technology counterparts.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the detailed facilitation and technology delivery of specific business outcomes
- Manages day-to-day requirements, programs, and special features while working closely with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders across Application Development, Security, Technology, Finance and Legal
- Works closely with technology teams and stakeholders to craft simple, elegant, impactful experiences
- Own product delivery for enterprise infrastructure and IT Operations Management by writing technically rigorous stories and partnering closely with Application Development and InfraOps teams for requirements, implementation, and testing
- Deeply understands customers and technology, and synthesizes into the executable product roadmaps driving business outcomes through technology enablement and innovation
- Works closely with technology and business stakeholders to craft simple, elegant, impactful experiences
- Integrates user research studies, analytics, and market analysis into product requirements
- Drives the overall vision and success across technology delivery teams, including both agile scrum teams and existing systems support teams
- Organizes and leads feature and dependency prioritization, PI & sprint planning, and backlog grooming ceremonies at the team level
- Determines iteration goals and if iteration outcome is acceptable from functional/non-functional aspects
- Coordinates with the team to ensure an efficient & productive daily stand-up takes place
- Actively participates in retrospectives, sprint planning, PI planning, and system demos
- Oversees story creation to ensure they meet the user's needs, technical integrity of the feature and definition of ready
- Prepares solid product definition and ensures all required artifacts are developed and stories/features meet the definition of done
- Analyzes metrics that inform the success of products
- Creates stories/tasks and assigns to the scrum team - additionally, flags dependencies & risks for the stories/features

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant technical product management experience w/Bachelor's degree
- Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of education or degree
- Knowledge of Agile software development framework, architecture concepts, and terminology
- Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards) is a plus
- Experience and/or accreditation in Scaled Agile a plus
- People management experience nice to have
- Ability to effectively and actively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong deductive reasoning and attention to detail
- Strong sense of customer service to consistently and effectively addresses customer needs
- High comfort level interacting with colleagues and with various levels of client organizations
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced & dynamic environment under tight timelines, while adaptive to change
- Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information and adhere to data security and confidentiality protocols and procedures
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
