TITLE: Systems Engineer

Location: 1130 Sanctuary Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30009; Must live within reasonable distance from HQ and appear in office as required.

Salary: $152,123 - $160,000/yr ; 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and work ticket queue in order to triage, isolate, and remediate incidents and fulfill service requests as generated by end users to provide the operational support, customer engagement, and continual service improvement of Delta Dental's desktop environments and applications portfolios.
  • Provide business-facing support and conduct business requirements analysis to deliver capabilities and technology integrations across platforms for greater employee effectiveness.
  • Perform monthly patching and maintenance of software to improve upon existing employee engagement models, build upon ITSM processes for incident management, request management, and release management and continuously build more connected and interoperable platforms while planning, building, and implementing the Workplace Engineering technology roadmap. Patch, update, manage, and create software packages for Windows-based SCCM and Intune or with macOS computers and Jamf.

  • Provide desktop engineering best practices, escalated customer support for Windows and macOS computers and operating systems, and configure, manage, and maintain desktop gold master images.
  • Support operations and also partner with team members for strategic planning, road map development, and project implementation.
  • Performing Monthly patching and maintenance of software. Remediating any systems which are missing patches.
  • Working on migrating all assets to Intune.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Manage desktop environments and application portfolios using Intune and JAMF and SCCM.
  • Manage incidents and service requests using Ivanti ServiceNow, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Implement granular permissions and distribution controls across platforms such as Intune.
  • Used Patch Management tools to perform software maintenance and patching on Windows, macOS, and SCCM platforms.
  • Utilized Intune and JAMF to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Automate and efficiently manage Intune environments using PowerShell scripting.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues utilizing MDM tools Microsoft Intune and JAMF, including device enrollment, policy creation, and reporting.
  • Manage identities, authentication, and provisioning processes with expertise in Microsoft Entra.
  • Use Microsoft Entra to manage identities, authentication, and provisioning processes.
  • Utilize JAMF to deploy applications and enforce security policies for comprehensive Apple device management.
  • Design and manage group policies, DNS, and replication processes with advanced proficiency in Active Directory.
  • Develop and deploy PowerShell scripts to automate system administration tasks, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct vulnerability management, including scanning, remediation, and patching using tools such as Nucleus, Rapid 7 and Qualys.


  • Base Pay Information

    The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
    Pay Grade 21. $152,123-$160,000/yr
