TITLE:Senior Software Engineer
Location: 1130 Sanctuary Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30009; Must live within reasonable commuting distance from HQ and able to appear in office as required
Salary: $152,131/year - $196,500/year
Responsibilities:
- Perform as a key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system and operational problems. Participate in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software; this may often require independent research and study. Develop high-quality and production-ready software by using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks that are maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure. Write highest quality code with utmost attention to scalability, security and performance and with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of production health. Produce complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for everything developed and maintains a team culture of documenting everything. Test and ensure quality of all code that developed in line with principles of test-driven development and continuous delivery, utilizing test automation frameworks wherever possible. Participate in code-reviews, provides technical guidance and mentors software engineers. Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, Test Automation and other teams and business units to define, prioritize, sequence and scope business and functional requirements and drive results. Instruments infrastructure and application performance monitoring, capacity management, alerting, tools instrumentation and metrics (KPI) management. Perform impact assessment of product (hardware, software) upgrades. Support and collaborate with other Engineers through evaluation, design analysis, and development phases. Maintain knowledge, ensure competency and compliance with policies and procedures, in order to be the technical expert while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Guide, train and mentor associate engineers. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from HQ and able to appear in office as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role.
- 5 years of experience developing and deploying Pega PRPC applications on Azure or similar cloud platform using CI/CD toolchain tools like Jenkins;
- Utilizing Jira/Jira Align for Agile project methodology;
- 5 years of experience integrating legacy systems and external systems with the Pega Platform using Rest, SOAP services;
- 5 years of experience developing background processes using Pega components such as Queue Processors and Jobs;
- 5 years of experience customizing Pega workflows and rules using Javascript, html, Java, CSS, and Java libraries;
- 5 years of experience performing Root Cause Analysis in the Pega ecosystem using Pega Diagnostic Cloud, tracer, clipboard and PLA;
- 5 years of experience using SQL development and query tools for development and data analysis within the Pega application platform;
- Documenting application design using wiki platforms like Confluence for knowledge sharing and application details; and
- 5 years of experience developing applications using branch techniques within Pega to perform parallel development and code review sessions.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 22. $152,131/year - $196,500/year
