The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for architecting, executing, and optimizing data-driven email programs that drive provider engagement and support business objectives. This technical marketing role leverages Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Data Cloud to build segmentation, configure journeys, and manage end-to-end campaign execution with a strong focus on automation, precision, and attention to detail. The specialist also maintains platform and email best practices, improves deliverability, and stays current on emerging trends to continually enhance program performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of email marketing programs leveraging platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Build and execute data-driven segmentation by pulling and querying data from Salesforce Data Cloud to create targeted audiences, enabling personalized communications that improve engagement and conversion.
- Design, configure, and orchestrate automated email journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, managing email assets, data extensions, and tracking parameters to ensure seamless execution and accurate performance measurement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional partners on creative development, list management, segmentation planning, deployment cadence, A/B testing, campaign execution, and performance optimization.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to inform future strategies and enhance results.
- Prepare and review campaign workflows, ensuring quality assurance for functionality, rendering accuracy, and flawless execution.
- Maintain productive working relationships with Business Stakeholders, Brand and Creative teams, and Development partners to meet project deadlines and address feedback efficiently.
- Develop, document, and maintain best practices and standard operating procedures for marketing automation processes. Ensure all email marketing activities comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other applicable privacy and data protection regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and optimization of email marketing programs to ensure continuous improvement in performance and deliverability.
- Remain informed of email marketing trends, emerging technologies, and demand generation best practices, providing recommendations to enhance engagement and campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications:
- 4+ with Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience managing campaigns within marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign or Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred).
- Experience within the healthcare or financial services industries preferred.
- Proficiency in developing and managing batch sends and automated customer journeys.
- Demonstrated expertise in A/B testing methodologies and campaign performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of campaign delivery processes and marketing automation best practices.
- Familiarity with MarTech tools such as Adobe Campaign, Workfront, and Adobe Analytics is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities under strict deadlines.
- Skill in analytical and critical thinking with the ability to synthesize data, identify trends, and propose innovative solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a positive, solutions-oriented approach and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Ability to travel up to 5% within the United States.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
