Work You'll Do

Deloitte provides ServiceNow risk and security services in the following areas based on the client's immediate and long-term needs. By coupling our business and cyber risk process functional experts on platform automation and integration with our security domain leaders across consulting services, Deloitte can provide a full spectrum of services including:

Advise - process and strategy roadmaps, implementation plans and business case development, quantitative return on investment, program and target operating model, data strategy & governance, risk & control framework, content definition & standardization, training and end user enablement

Implement - configuration and as needed, customized, solutions on ServiceNow Security Operations (Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response) and Integrated Risk Management (IRM) applications utilizing accelerators via pre-built templates and proofs of concept

Operate - manage Cyber Security programs ranging from keeping the lights on for the client's environment (e.g. upgrades, access help desk) to full-service use case development and dashboards

As a ServiceNow Senior Consultant - Developer, you will lead the technical design, solution architecture, and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions that drive visibility and automation across key components of our clients' cyber and risk programs. This is a hands-on technical role. You will write code daily, architect integrations, and design scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will serve as the primary technical resource on engagements, owning solution architecture decisions and translating business requirements into maintainable platform configurations and custom development.   • Leading the technical design and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions including custom applications, integrations, workflows, business rules, scripted REST APIs, and UI components
  • Architecting and building complex integrations between ServiceNow and third-party security and risk tools using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server configurations, and orchestration
  • Writing and optimizing server-side and client-side scripts including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, and Flow Designer actions
  • Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks using ATF to ensure solution quality across development, test, and production environments
  • Performing code reviews and enforcing development best practices across the engagement team, including adherence to ServiceNow coding standards and update set management
  • Translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and detailed design documents
  • Configuring and customizing ServiceNow platform solutions including forms, calculations, reporting, dashboards, and access controls
  • * Building and customizing portal solutions using Service Portal and Next Experience UI Framework (UI Builder), including Employee Center and customer-facing experiences
  • Leading deployment of automated ServiceNow solutions at large and complex organizations across a variety of industries
  • Working collaboratively with functional consultants and senior risk stakeholders (CIO, CRO, CISOs and direct reports) to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives
  • Building solid, trust-based relationships with client technical and business stakeholders
  • Mentoring junior developers on ServiceNow development patterns, debugging techniques, and platform best practices
  • Developing solution architecture documentation including technical design blueprints, integration architecture diagrams, and platform scalability assessments
  • Evaluating technical trade-offs and making design recommendations that balance client requirements, platform best practices, and long-term maintainability
  • Contributing to technical estimation and scoping efforts for new engagements and change requests
  • Facilitating technical demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and knowledge transfer sessions

The Team

Our Cyber Strategy & Transformation offering develops and transforms cyber programs in line with a client's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. It keeps the enterprise a step ahead of the evolving threat landscape and gives stakeholders confidence in the organization's cyber posture. Includes design of the cyber organization, governance, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience as a hands-on ServiceNow developer writing and deploying code on implementation projects in a client-facing role
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience writing and debugging ServiceNow server-side and client-side scripts (JavaScript), including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer
  • 4+ years of experience building and maintaining ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and MID Server configurations
  • 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow development lifecycle practices including update set management, scoped applications, and instance management across development, test, and production environments
  • 4+ years of work experience developing solutions on one or more of the following ServiceNow modules:
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • IT Asset Management (ITAM)
  • Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
  • Security Operations (SecOps)
  • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
  • 4+ years of experience as a hands-on developer throughout the engagement lifecycle; this role requires writing code, not solely overseeing or delegating development work
  • 4+ years of experience contributing to solution architecture decisions, technical design documentation, and integration pattern selection on ServiceNow engagements
  • Previous Consulting or Big 4 experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • One or more ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications such as:
  • CIS-Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC)
  • CIS-Security Incident Response (CIS-SIR)
  • CIS-Vulnerability Response (CIS-VR)
  • CIS-Third-Party Risk Management (CIS-TPRM)
  • CIS-Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM)
  • CIS-Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM)
  • CIS-Service Mapping (CIS-SM)
  • CIS-Discovery (CIS-DISCO)
  • CIS-Event Management (CIS-EM)
  • Experience building integrations with enterprise security tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Microsoft Sentinel, or threat intelligence feeds (STIX/TAXII)
  • Experience with CMDB architecture and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) design and implementation
  • Experience with Service Portal development, Employee Center customization, or Next Experience UI Framework (UI Builder, Now Experience components)
  • Experience with IntegrationHub and pre-built Spokes for enterprise integration patterns
  • Exposure to ServiceNow Now Assist or GenAI capabilities on the platform
  • Experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity Management (BCM) and/or Privacy Management modules
  • Experience with RSA Archer or other GRC platforms, particularly in migration or integration scenarios with ServiceNow
  • Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, or Virtual Agent
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or active progress toward CTA certification
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700 to $218,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
