Work you'll do
Catering Coordinators play a key role within our meetings and events teams by supporting the end-to-end catering needs for small to large scale events. They work closely with our Hospitality team and external catering vendors to manage and/or assist with menu planning, ordering and execution to ensure a seamless catering experience.
As a Catering Coordinator at Deloitte your responsibilities will include:
- Consulting and driving the catering process on behalf of the customer (or event planner) providing expertise, support, and guidance in such areas as: ordering and vendor management, assisting with logistical planning and set-up, and day-of delivery
- Supporting day-of execution including coordination with team/vendors to ensure accuracy/delivery of order, addressing last minute issues or needs, and effective set-up/removal
- Managing and fostering relationships with team, vendors, and other key stakeholders through effective communications, collaboration, and engagement with purpose to deliver a "best in class" catering experience
- Ensuring an excellent working knowledge of department services, catering services, vendor capabilities, meeting space, and building and Deloitte protocols, policies and procedures
- Performing post-event duties such as invoice management, expense processing, providing feedback to vendors to improve processes, and other details, as needed
The team

We help our Deloitte professionals with daily office support needs, meeting and event planning and execution, and an array of other services related to office operations and facility management. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric "experience" for our Deloitte professionals, clients, and guests.

Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of related catering or event support experience in a corporate, hospitality, service-oriented or customer-centric environment
- Position is on-site in multiple DFW office locations Monday through Friday.
- High school diploma
- Ability to work occasional overtime
An ideal candidate will possess:
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Catering coordination experience within a corporate environment supporting small to large scale catering management
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
- Critical thinking and ability to anticipate needs
- Willingness to be cross trained in other office support service areas for back-up support and assume additional responsibilities/projects when necessary and as appropriate
