The team
You will join a cross-functional Supply Chain & Manufacturing consulting environment focused on helping clients modernize operations through technology, data, and advanced engineering. The role operates in a matrix of industry practitioners, technologists, and alliance partners and requires strong collaboration, structured problem-solving, and the ability to translate emerging technology into operational results.
The Work You'll Do
You will support and deliver client engagements focused on modernizing manufacturing and supply chain operations through technology, data, and advanced engineering - including OT, robotics and Physical AI solutions that bridge AI with real-world operations.
You'll work with clients to help design and implement solutions that integrate robotics, computer vision (CV), simulation/digital twins, synthetic data, and edge AI, often alongside alliance partners (e.g., NVIDIA, Siemens, AWS, and others).
You'll contribute to assessments, PoCs, and early-scale implementations by translating operational needs into practical technical requirements, and helping teams deliver measurable outcomes in industrial environments. Engagements may range from hands-on technical builds and pilots to digital product delivery and operational transformation, depending on client needs.
You will succeed if you are:
- Comfortable working across operations including - factory, field and warehouse environments and client stakeholder settings
- Able to translate between operations, controls/automation, and data/AI teams.
- Hands-on coding experience, including building, testing, and deploying production-grade solutions for the technologies listed below
- A strong commitment to achieving measurable results rather than focusing on demonstrations.
- Excellent communication skills, including thorough documentation of decisions, requirements, and testing outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in robotics, industrial engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience in one or more of: manufacturing/industrial automation, robotics, computer vision, simulation/digital twins, edge/IIoT, applied ML/AI in operational settings
- Experience delivering digital product and/or operations transformation work in manufacturing/supply chain (e.g., requirements, process design, operating model, KPI design, implementation planning), in addition to hands-on technical delivery.
- Experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Computer vision for industrial environments (e.g., inspection, defect detection, safety, tracking, manufacturing assembly)
- Robotics and autonomy (e.g., industrial robotics, mobile robotics and AMRs, perception-to-action workflows)
- Simulation, digital twins, physics-based modeling for factories, warehousing, and logistics
- Synthetic data generation and validation approaches for model development
- Edge AI deployment (e.g., performance, reliability, lifecycle operations)
- Experience writing, testing, and deploying Python and/or C++ code for ML, CV, robotics, and edge-based solutions
- Experience with ROS/ROS2 and NAV2/ MOVIT
- Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred
- Experience collaborating with technology partners (e.g., NVIDIA, Siemens, AWS. and/or similar ecosystems) to translate platforms into deliverable architectures and programs.
- Experience in developing high-fidelity simulation environments (e.g., using Issac Sim) and enable SLAM/VSLAM for map-building and localization
- Experience building teleoperation models and Vision -Language-Action model (VLA)
- Manufacturing and supply chain technology exposure in areas such as sensing and IIoT connectivity, process and product optimization, automation and process control, fleet operations, ML and data science, cybersecurity for OT
- Experience supporting or delivering client-facing PoCs/ pilots/ implementations (beyond academic research), including requirements and measurable acceptance criteria
- Experience working in Agile product delivery (backlogs, sprint/release planning, demos tied to measurable outcomes) and partnering with operations leaders to drive adoption.
- Experience designing governance and operating models for Physical AI in production: model monitoring and drift, incident response, data management, human-in-the-loop, safety and controls integration.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 - $163,100.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
