Work you'll do
As a Martech Technical Architect at Deloitte Digital, you will serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert in both platform and custom development capabilities - blending strategy, architecture, and your hands-on experience to support our client engagements.
As a Martech Technical Architect, you will:
- Design and develop solutions that account for dependencies across reporting, data integrations (including CDPs), and downstream marketing processes-ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across the stack.
- Build dynamic web pages and email templates using AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS; managing end-to-end delivery from technical design through QA and deployment.
- Serve as a hands-on lead for client engagements with multiple third-party data integrations, supporting teams in resolving maintenance issues, operational delays, and data misfires impacting campaign performance.
- Scope, validate, and test platform solutions against evolving project requirements-working closely with stakeholders to estimate effort and ensure technical feasibility of proposed work.
- Support platform migrations from legacy MAPs to modern marketing platforms (e.g. SFMC, AJO, Braze) including early-stage implementation design and integration with external customer data platforms.
- Identify and address gaps in legacy marketing platform (e.g. SFMC) builds, including broken automations, inconsistent data ingestion logic, and platform configuration drift-issues that directly affected reliability and compliance.
- Mentor FE developers and marketing technologists by pairing on campaign builds, code reviews, and platform walkthroughs, helping team members develop long-term confidence and capability.
- Partner with QA, creative, and operations teams to establish consistent testing standards and safeguard platform integrity during handoffs.
- Contribute to internal enablement efforts, including knowledge-sharing sessions, documentation of platform nuances, and implementation retrospectives to improve client engagement outcomes across teams.
- Work with offshore/nearshore Delivery Center resources, supporting front-end development oversight, quality assurance and skills development.
- Act as marketing platform (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud) SME and technical lead across multi-industry enterprise clients, shaping campaign architecture, advising on platform best practices, and supporting teams through delivery.
