Position Summary

Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work You'll Do

Grants Management, Compliance & Oversight

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of grant programs - application, formulation, award, monitoring, and closeout - for federal, state, and local grant-funded initiatives.
  • Develop and implement risk-based oversight and monitoring frameworks to track grant performance, identify areas of noncompliance, and confirm deliverables are met.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), as well as Deloitte's internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and quality-check grant documentation, compliance reports, and financial reconciliations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on grants compliance and oversight and monitoring, providing guidance and hands-on training to internal teams and clients.
  • Build and manage on-site client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day program compliance matters.

Business Development & Scope of Work Management

  • Identify, qualify, and position new grants management, compliance, and oversight and monitoring opportunities across government agencies, non-profits, and private-sector clients.
  • Lead the full pursuit lifecycle - from opportunity identification and capture planning through proposal development, pricing, and negotiation of scopes of work and contract terms.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize statements of work (SOWs), ensuring scope, deliverables, staffing, and pricing align with client needs and Deloitte's risk and quality standards.
  • Partner with account and pursuit teams to develop compliant, compelling proposals, including budgeting, staffing plans, and technical approach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - government agencies, non-profits, and private-sector partners - to grow Deloitte's grants management pipeline.
  • Represent Deloitte at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote the firm's grants and compliance service offerings.

Team Leadership & Practice Development

  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering technical development in grants compliance and oversight and monitoring disciplines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and client teams to deliver high-quality grants and compliance solutions.
  • Develop and deliver internal and client-facing training on grants management, compliance, and oversight and monitoring best practices.
  • Support resource planning and staffing for active engagements and newly implemented scopes of work.

Manages risk and opportunities associated with diverse and complex grant programs through end-to-end grants management solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in grants management, compliance, and/or oversight and monitoring
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, with demonstrated success identifying, qualifying, positioning, negotiating, and implementing scopes of work for grant-funded or compliance-related engagements
  • Experience with federal and state grant regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and related compliance requirements
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 3 - 5 days per week in Tallahassee FL
  • Ability to travel 5-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing oversight and monitoring frameworks, risk assessments, and compliance review programs
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing scopes of work and contract terms with government agencies, non-profits, and/or private-sector clients
  • Experience in disaster recovery grants
  • Advanced use of grants technology
  • Experience working with government agencies, non-profits, and/or the private sector
  • Ability to work independently and leading multidisciplinary teams
