Fund Finance and Intermediary Payments Specialist
Position Summary

The Team
Our Finance Transformation team serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to CFOs, finance leaders, and executive clients. We leverage Deloitte's comprehensive capabilities, assets, and insights to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. Our Finance Operate offering provides continuous operation of the finance function, seamlessly extending the capabilities of our Finance Transformation Advise and Implement portfolio.
Work you'll do/Responsibilities
- Oversee the workflow for assigning fund expenses, preparing data for 15c profitability reporting, and ensuring accuracy for board and regulatory deliverables.
- Coordinate reimbursement and expense payment processing, ensuring correct coding, budget alignment, and controlled payment release with authorized sign-off.
- Lead the annual budgeting cycles and run rate revenue analysis to ensure funds' financial viability.
- Own and enhance the expense accrual methodology; centralize and standardize accrual processes for efficiency.
- Direct the validation and approval of invoices; partner closely with business managers for payment review and sign-offs.
- Implement and optimize technology transitions (procure-to-pay platform, invoice validation, dashboards for analytics).
- Support and refine profitability analytics, scenario planning ("what if" impacts), and ongoing enhancements leveraging AI/CFO Insights.
- Ensure robust process and policy documentation, with improvements targeted at timing, ownership, training, knowledge transfer, and audit readiness.
- Oversee the team resource split and manage key person risk by strengthening cross-training and documentation.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 4+ years' experience in fund finance, fund operations, or asset management.
- Proven ability to manage allocations, budgeting, profitability reporting, and regulatory support.
- Strong grasp of accounting systems, Excel, scenario analysis, and workflow automation.
- Team leadership experience in global (US/India) operational models; documentation and process improvement skills.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management abilities.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
- CPA, CFA, or advanced financial credentials
- Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
- Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
- Excellent Written and Communication Skills
- Ability to deliver technical demonstrations

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $173,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
