Firm Enterprise Solutions Associate Director, Government Client Contracts Management (OSD/OSW)
Position Summary
Deloitte is seeking a top-performing professional services Firm Enterprise Solutions Associate Director, Government Client Contracts Management and Contracts Group Lead to support our Government and Public Services Practice (GPS). In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally within the Operational Excellence team and across Deloitte's Enterprise Solutions.
This role is designed for a visionary leader who can manage day-to-day operations while inspiring and developing a team within Deloitte's Government Contracts & Procurement Organization (GCPO). You will be aligned with a specific Account, leading a dedicated contracts team and serving as a trusted source of strategic contracting advice to give Deloitte a competitive advantage in winning Federal engagements.
You will mentor and develop a team of contracts professionals, ensuring they align with Deloitte's strategic objectives and values. By fostering a collaborative, efficient, and highly effective environment, you will enhance team performance, drive professional growth, balance workloads, and facilitate cross-functional initiatives.
While all locations will be considered, this role offers a flexible hybrid scheduled with candidates based in Washington, D.C. or Arlington, VA (or nearby) preferred.

As a Group Lead, you will direct a team of contracts professionals in all facets of Federal contract administration. You will manage complex, high-value, and strategic contractual matters that directly impact firm revenue generation and retention.

- Practice independent judgment and sophisticated analysis to identify and resolve complex contractual issues
- Provide strategic, advisory-level contracts support to account leadership, shaping and strengthening win strategies for Federal engagements
- Execute strategic positioning and outreach activities aimed at Federal clients, interacting with client contracting personnel at all levels
- Lead strategic contract negotiations and ensure the successful completion of diverse contract projects
- Train and mentor account teams and assigned staff to ensure operational efficiency and strict compliance
- Establish and implement team-level goals that align operations with broader GPS and account-level objectives
- Communicate persuasively with team members, peers, internal leadership, and external clients
- Design and execute a service-centric delivery model for Federal contracting, overseeing the end-to-end contracting lifecycle from pre-award strategy to post-award closeout to ensure rapid response times and mission alignment
- Provide leadership and guidance to a high-performing group of direct reports, taking ownership of the team's overall performance in contract management
- Serve as the primary contracts subject matter expert (SME) to your assigned account leadership
- Participate as a core member of the account leadership team, assisting in the development and shaping of account-level contractual strategies
- Guide and coordinate proposal and award activities for complex contracts, offering advisory-level guidance to internal teams across all phases of the contract lifecycle
- Conduct thorough reviews of complex contract actions and develop tactical action plans to address risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Ensure full compliance and accuracy of all contracts administration within your assigned area of responsibility
- Monitor assigned contract portfolios (including pipeline and contract performance) to proactively identify risk areas and maximize revenue retention
- Stay apprised of the latest trends in Federal contracting and advise leadership accordingly
- Manage individual and team workloads to guarantee timely, compliant project delivery, guiding teams through issue resolution
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into contract management systems, monitoring updates and resolving discrepancies to maintain data quality
- Negotiate complex, non-standard contracts and agreements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with proposal and business teams to address complex contracting and proposal challenges

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
- 5+ years of experience negotiating at the executive-to-executive level, driving collaboration, consensus, and strategic alignment across internal partners, practice leaders, and external Federal Sector clients
- 5+ years of experience supporting multiple Federal acquisition approaches and diverse contract types
- Command knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Lifecycle
- 5+ years of experience in federal solicitation types, contract types, federal contracts vehicles, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
- 3+ years of direct supervisory/people management experience
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that would require professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week, whether at the a Deloitte office or client site, dependent on the team's needs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Experience
- Advanced Degree (e.g., JD, MBA)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and mentor teams
- Demonstrated capability to foster professional growth, manage high-performing teams, and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Strong consultative and communication skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of War (DoW) or military branch acquisition experience
- Experience supporting Federal clients aligned with the team of assignment (e.g., Office of the Secretary of Defense)
- Direct supervisory experience leading a team of 3 or more professionals
- Experience with non-traditional Federal acquisition authorities, including Commercial Solutions Openings (CSOs) and Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs)
- Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technology (including AI/ML) to drive business process improvement, operational effectiveness, and efficiency
- NCMA Certifications: Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 to $232,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
