Position Summary
Specialist Lead, Communications
Deloitte Technology-US Media and Communications, within the DT-US Office of the CIO, is seeking a strategic and collaborative Communications Lead that will be responsible for leading and delivering communications for executive programs and key technology initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing internal and external executive communications programs, engaging effectively with executive and broad stakeholder audiences, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and providing guidance and training to support consistent, high-quality communications across the team.

Work you'll do
- Shape executive technology communications through messaging, presentations, talking points, leadership updates, and strategic narratives aligned to Deloitte's technology strategy.
- Translate complex topics into compelling content that connects technical, business, and organizational priorities for both executive and end-user audiences.
- Drive communications planning and execution through editorial calendars, scalable frameworks, templates, governance, and measurement dashboards.
- Elevate Deloitte's market eminence by developing external articles, executive briefs, thought leadership, and other high-quality communications materials.
- Enable technology adoption by promoting DT-US tools and services, communicating product updates and project milestones, and making technical information clear, relevant, and actionable.
- Strengthen stakeholder alignment by connecting technical and non-technical teams, coordinating across DT-US, and aligning communications with Deloitte marketing, branding, and internal communications guidance.
- Provide strategic counsel and issue management to Media and Communications leadership, including support for technology incidents, escalations, and crisis communications.
- Lead multiple priorities with discipline by tracking actions, decisions, and commitments; managing competing demands; responding to stakeholder needs; and maintaining quality and timeliness.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required. Supervision typically consists of receiving direction on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities.

Deloitte Technology-US Media & Communications enables strategic business value through digital media and communications, advises Deloitte leaders on key initiatives, drives organizational business objectives, provides communications and guidance during periods of crisis or necessity, manages the digital technology intranet, and offers firmwide communications for technology projects and emerging technologies.

Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Journalism, Communications, or similar environments
- Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with senior executives
- Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (technical subject matter specialists to business owners), with the ability to present complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to the audience
- 3+ years including but not limited to: Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of professional social media platforms (LinkedIn) and basic HTML; Familiarity with AI tools and effective prompt-writing techniques to support research, content development, and productivity
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or a related field
- Travel: Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- No sponsorship: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a communications role in a technology or professional services organization
- Experience supporting CIOs, CTOs, or technology transformation programs
- Experience developing communications for senior technology executives
- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand complex organizational dynamics.
- Experience supporting communications for complex technology programs
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,300 to $155,400.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
