Enterprise Operations & Risk - Private Credit Consultant

Work you'll do

As a Deloitte Consultant specializing in Private Credit Operations, you'll leverage your deep expertise in investment operations, private credit instruments, and transactional processes to help leading asset managers, institutional investors, and insurance clients optimize their private credit business. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive operational improvement, and play a key role in client transformation projects involving private credit, direct lending, and alternative investments.

Operational Consulting & Client Delivery:

  • Lead assessment and design of target operating models for private credit investment operations.
  • Support clients in building and enhancing operations servicing models, addressing complex questions across diverse portfolios of credit investments.
  • Advise on daily reconciliation, onboarding, and month-end close processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee or advise on private deal fundings, cash management, pipeline monitoring, settlement, and process improvements.
  • Support and optimize client reporting solutions, data review, and effective client communication strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for regulatory requirements, market best practices, and technology enablement in private credit operations.

Transaction Management & Execution:

  • Guide clients in the execution of complex private transactions, including wire transfers, FX hedging, KYC, and account set-ups.
  • Collaborate with deal professionals, finance, legal, and tax teams to ensure operational excellence during deal execution.
  • Advise on trade settlement, reconciliation issues, and custodial activities for various asset classes.

Process Improvement & Change Management:

  • Identify and deliver process enhancements through technology upgrades and digital tools to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in strategic initiatives, including transformation programs related to private credit and real assets.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Educate and mentor client and Deloitte team members on private credit workflows and operations.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships, providing timely guidance and resolving operational challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
  • 3-7 years' experience in private credit or real assets operations, preferably in a consulting, asset management, or financial services environment.
  • Deep understanding of private credit and loan documentation, deal lifecycle management, and front-to-back operational flows.
  • Strong familiarity with asset management industry technologies and systems (e.g., Advent Geneva, Clearwater, PAM, Aladdin) is desirable.
  • Proven excellence in organization, communication, problem-solving, and project management in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.
  • Ability to leverage technology for operational efficiency and risk reduction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of both public and private credit asset classes.
  • Prior experience supporting strategic initiatives, operating model optimization, or technology transformations.
  • Capacity to articulate complex operational issues clearly and provide actionable solutions to diverse client audiences.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $163,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
