The team
Deloitte Cyber helps organizations navigate an evolving threat landscape, strengthen resilience, and proactively manage security risk. Within Cyber, the Engineering team is building the technology capabilities that support the next generation of cybersecurity services. Position summary
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality technology solutions across front-end and back-end environments. You will work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. In this role, you will support the full software development lifecycle, contribute to solution design and implementation, and help drive quality, maintainability, and continuous improvement across engineering efforts. This role may also include mentoring junior team members and collaborating across distributed teams. Work you'll do
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, and team leadership to understand requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full stack applications and platform capabilities.
• Translate user and business needs into new or enhanced application functionality.
• Analyze technical problems, identify key drivers, and recommend effective solution approaches.
• Build and enhance enterprise applications using modern engineering practices, tools, and frameworks.
• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices to improve delivery quality and speed.
• Contribute to Agile delivery activities, including estimation, sprint planning, and team collaboration.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering methods, standards, and reusable assets.
• Mentor junior team members as needed and contribute to a strong team culture focused on quality and delivery.
Required qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant full stack software engineering experience, including experience in several of the following areas:
• Full stack application development across front-end and back-end technologies
• Designing, developing, deploying, implementing, or supporting AI, Generative AI, or agentic AI solutions in enterprise environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Object-oriented programming using Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Front-end development using Angular, React, or Next.js, along with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 in production environments
• Back-end development using at least one modern stack such as Node.js, Python with Django or Flask, or Java with Spring Boot
• Building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
• Working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, and at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or DynamoDB
• Using Git and software development lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps
• Unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent, along with automated testing and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Deploying applications, APIs, or analytics workloads to AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred qualifications
• Experience with Docker, container-based application development, and serverless architectures
• Experience with secure development practices or cybersecurity-focused application development
• Experience working with Anthropic Claude models or integrating enterprise GenAI capabilities into applications
• Experience contributing to project planning, estimation, or risk tracking
• Experience mentoring junior or mid-level developers and leading code reviews
• Experience partnering with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in cross-functional team environments
• Cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
• Exposure to graph databases such as Neo4j or Memgraph
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Experience working in legacy or mixed-technology environments
• Familiarity with DevOps or DevSecOps practices
• Knowledge of web security, GitOps, and Kubernetes customization
• Basic understanding of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Compensation
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 - 208,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
