  • Support multi-disciplinary teams by collaborating with senior consultants, managers, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality data and analytics engagements.
  • Contribute to assigned initiatives by helping translate business needs into clear requirements, priorities, and execution plans for AI and data engineering teams.
  • Support project workstreams, including planning, task execution, issue tracking, and coordination across business, data, and technology stakeholders.
  • Help modernize business and technology processes in support of client objectives and project deliverables, including exploring agentic and automated workflows.
  • Partner with business, data, and technology teams to capture, document, and translate requirements for large-scale data and AI initiatives.
  • Conduct data discovery and analysis activities, including metadata curation, business glossary alignment, data lineage, data classification, and source-to-target mapping to support a strong data governance foundation.
  • Assess data readiness for AI and agentic consumption by evaluating datasets for quality, completeness, and semantic requirements, and by supporting ontology development, including entities, relationships, and taxonomies.
  • Assist in designing and building AI-powered agents, accelerators, and reusable tooling to improve delivery speed and quality across engagements.
  • Perform technical analysis, develop data pipelines, and support technical reviews for solutions built by the team.
  • Prepare project documentation, status updates, and client-ready deliverables that summarize progress, technical findings, and recommendations.
  • Present findings and insights to internal and client stakeholders in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

The team

Our Regulatory & Financial Risk offering supports clients' business priorities, balancing risk and regulatory requirements with enhancing business value and optimizing outcomes. We deliver enhanced value through strategic transformation, end-to-end implementation, and focus on business-as-usual sustainability across processes, controls, and data & analytics infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in data analysis, data architecture, data management, or data engineering.
  • 1+ year of experience in the financial services industry, including investment management or insurance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency or hands-on experience with relevant tools and platforms, including:
    • Data Management: Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Atlan, Anomalo, Ataccama, or similar tools.
    • AI-Assisted Development and Modern Data Engineering: Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, dbt, Airflow, Git/GitHub, or similar tools.
    • Predictive Analytics: Python or R.
    • Data Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
    • Data Mining/Data Warehousing: Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
    • Programming/Scripting: Python, SQL, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
  • Experience or familiarity with:
    • Data modernization and migration projects in financial services.
    • Data governance best practices, especially in the context of AI data readiness, data semantics, and ontologies.
    • Communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a business-related field.
  • Related certifications such as PMP, AWS/Databricks/Azure/GCP Cloud Certification, or CDMP.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86700 to $170900
