Work you'll do

An Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data Architect job involves designing and implementing scalable data solutions on AEP to enable personalized customer experiences. Key responsibilities include defining data architecture, creating Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas, managing data ingestion and identity resolution, and overseeing the integration of AEP with other Adobe Experience Cloud products and third-party systems. The role requires strong expertise in AEP components like RTCDP and Customer Journey Analytics, data governance, and API integrations, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Data Architecture & Design: Lead the design of enterprise-level AEP data architectures, define data models and schemas using XDM to unify and structure data
  • Platform Configurations: Configure and optimize AEP modules such as real-time customer data platform (RT-CDP), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), and Journey Optimizer (AJO)
  • Data Ingestion & Activation: Design and implement data ingestion pipelines for batch and streaming data, and oversee the activation of audiences for cross-channel marketing campaigns
  • Identity Resolution: Develop and manage strategies for identity resolution and profile unification, creating a unified view of the customer
  • Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of AEP with other Adobe Experience Cloyd products (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Target, Campaign) and external systems via APIs and data pipelines.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Ensure data quality, schema validation, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCP) through robust data governance frameworks
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to Data Architects, Marketing stakeholders, IT/Data Engineering teams, Program Managers, Product Managers, etc. Interface with clients to gather requirements, map solutions, and make recommendations
  • Documentation & Specifications: Create technical specifications to drive development of the solution. Deliver technical specifications documents for customer review. Design custom development solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Manage the day-to-day work of onshore and offshore developers to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner. Work as their technical lead and offer solutions as needed.
  • Lead customer project conference calls or interface with a project manager
  • Deliver technical specifications documents for customer review
  • Leverage understanding of data relationships and schemas to structure data to allow clients to perform dynamic customer-level analysis
  • Leverage scripting languages to automate key processes governing data movement, cleansing, and processing activities
  • Innovate on new ideas to solve customer needs
  • Serving as the Data Architect and subject matter expert for customer experience & marketing data solutions (e.g. Customer Data Platform) during pre-sales, Discovery, and Implementation projects.
  • Involving other domain specific SME's (e.g. CRM, Martech, Adtech, Commerce) to support solution design.
  • Engaging in technical resource planning and level-of-effort estimation to support project scoping, pricing, and planning.
  • Proposing designed solutions to client technical and business teams.
  • Experience in advanced data warehouse concepts
  • Experience with business requirements definition and management, structured analysis, process design, use case documentation

Our in-house agency engages customers throughout their journey, working on projects like AdTech, MarTech, campaign automation, CRM, and lead-to-loyalty orchestration. Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years experience working with Adobe Products, particularly RT-CDP, AJO, and CJA
  • 5+ years of experience related to technical data & marketing solution experience
  • 5+ years of in-depth understanding of database platforms including relational and non-relational data engines (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, Hadoop, Snowflake, Hive, Spark, Big Query, Redshift, Data Warehouse, and similar)
  • 5+ years of experience with data processing (ETL) tools & methodologies (Informatica, Talend, Spark, Pentaho, SSIS, Unifi, SnapLogic and similar)
  • 3+ years Experience with designing customer centric datasets (i.e. CRM, Call Center, Marketing, Offline, Point of Sale, etc.)
  • 3+ years of data modeling experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • Experience and knowledge with digital marketing analytics
  • Experience and knowledge with marketing cloud solutions
  • Experience in programming languages (python, Java, or Bash scripting)
  • Experience with Big Data technologies (i.e. Hadoop, Spark, Redshift, Snowflake, Hive, Pig, etc.)
  • Experience with Martech/Adtech tools and how to integrate technologies into the data management solution. (Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, Google, and similar)
  • Experience in advanced analyticsmachine learning concepts\use cases and how to apply this technology to customer experience & marketing solutions (predictive modeling, recommendation personalization, channel optimization)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate complex technology concepts with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to approach a technical solution to solved for challenges from a business perspective
  • Understanding of the full SDLC process
  • Understanding of data integration methodologies and tools (Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Custom API, Segment, Tealium, and similar)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
  • Experience working with public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)
    • GCP - (Cloud Functions, Composer, SQL, Storage, Dataproc, Datastore, Kubernetes, Big Query, Stackdriver, Pub/Sub)
    • AWS - (Lambda, Glue, Data Pipeline, Redshift, Aurora, Athena/Spectrum, S3/Glacier, Fargate, Cloud Watch, Kinesis)
    • Azure - (Functions, Batch, Blob Storage, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Containers, Monitor, Service Bus)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,600 to $198,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
