IT Security Engineer with strong experience within a large enterprise environment and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the security space.
The Security engineer will promote and ensure security by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. This individual will also be responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations.
- Develops and manages security for more than one IT functional area (e.g., data, systems, network and/or Web) across the enterprise.
- Develop and publish Information Security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements.
- Prepares status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
- Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of IT security incidents through to remediation.
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls.
- Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

- Provides direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues.
- Educates IT and the business about security policies and consults on security issues.
- Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all IT projects with regard to security issues.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.
The Salary Range for the role is $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year.
If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour
Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
