The Transportation Asset Support Analyst is a strategic and operational role responsible for supporting comprehensive fleet management across multiple transportation sites. This position ensures consistency in asset lifecycle oversight, maintenance tracking, financial stewardship, vendor coordination, and sustainability alignment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fleet operations, systems management, and cross-functional collaboration to support scalable, compliant, and cost-effective transportation operations. This role also plays a key part in managing fuel programs, optimizing both operational and capital expenditures, developing equipment sourcing and retirement strategies, and driving progress toward sustainability goals.This is a remote role that can be done anywhere in the US.Key Responsibilities:Fleet & Asset Management

- Oversee the full lifecycle of fleet assets (e.g., trailers, tractors, straight trucks, yard trucks, electric pallet jacks, owned and leased equipment) across multiple locations.
- Maintain centralized records for asset registration, insurance, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate asset deployment, transfers, returns, decommissioning, and retirement planning.
- Evaluate asset performance and lifecycle data to inform timely retirement or replacement decisions.
- Support sourcing decisions for new equipment based on cost, performance, and sustainability criteria.
- Integrate new assets into enterprise systems and ensure alignment with operational needs and sustainability targets.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure fleet readiness and regulatory compliance (DOT, FMCSA, CARB, EPA).
- Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to uphold internal and external standards.
- Track vendor performance and service quality for maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor and analyze fleet fuel consumption to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Support implementation of fuel programs, including alternative fuels and electrification initiatives.
- Align fleet operations with corporate sustainability goals, including emissions reduction and energy efficiency.
- Lead annual operating and capital expense planning for fleet assets, including forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis.
- Partner with Finance to ensure alignment with budget targets and strategic investment plans.
- Provide insights into cost drivers and recommend strategies to optimize both day-to-day operational costs and long-term capital investments.
- Oversee transportation-related invoice processing and reconciliation across sites.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, and escalate financial risks as needed.
- Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to monitor spend and support budget alignment.
- Serve as liaison for transportation and maintenance vendors, supporting billing, asset agreements, maintenance contracts, and contract compliance.
- Maintain organized records of contracts and service-level agreements.
- Manage vendor performance tracking and sourcing/renewal processes.
- Consolidate and analyze fleet data to support utilization, cost efficiency, and compliance reporting.
- Generate reports for leadership and support audits, capital planning, and operational reviews.
- Maintain data integrity across ERP, TMS, and telematics platforms (e.g., Samsara).
- Collaborate with transportation operations, procurement, finance, safety, and compliance teams.
- Support process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to local fleet leadership and administrative staff.
- Collaborate with sustainability teams to align fleet operations with environmental and emissions-reduction initiatives.
- Primarily office-based or remote with occasional travel to transportation sites or vendor locations.
- Standard Monday-Friday schedule; flexibility required during audits, project rollouts, or peak periods.
- 3+ years of experience in fleet or transportation asset management or operations, preferably in a multi-site environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of fleet operations, asset tracking, and invoice workflows
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting fleet operations through the use of transportation management systems (TMS), maintenance management tools, and telematics platforms such as Samsara
- Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, CARB, EPA and/or other transportation compliance regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- ERP experience

The typical pay range for this role is:$43,888.00 - $93,574.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
