This Senior Manager Software Development Engineer will be a part of our Aetna Technology organization which is comprised of numerous teams that support, enhance, and create new programs and services that support our suite of clinical and interoperability products.The development of these programs will help build our next-generation platform to ensure the delivery of use cases into products focusing on helping people live healthier lives. - Acts as a top-level specialist on software development projects, defining project scope, goals, timelines, and resource allocation to optimize project journeys
- Instructs software development engineers, providing guidance, offering mentorship, and setting performance goals that support the company's business objectives
- Executes risk assessments by troubleshooting production issues, assessing available resources, and providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime
- Directs individuals throughout the software development life cycle operations, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Counsels the department on relevant regulatory requirements to help ensure constant compliance with best practices, quality standards, and industry trends
- Interfaces with multiple cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and maintaining productive relationships
- Follows up on the latest software development technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to capitalize on the most innovative and impactful technology solutions
- Applies highly developed technical knowledge when making informed decisions and resolving complex challenges
- Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes continuous learning opportunities and drives continuous improvement
- 7+ years work experience in software engineering
- Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork

- Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
- Adept at business intelligence
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)
The typical pay range for this role is:$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
