- Monitor compliance with federal and state payroll tax laws
- Apply and register for new state SUI, State withholding tax accounts for new locations, FEINS, as needed.
- Maintain unemployment tax rates and communicate changes to third-party tax vendor.
- Partner with the Payroll team to ensure federal W4, state and local taxes are set up correctly for employees, particularly for employees who live and work in different states.
- Create and run reports in Workday to support research resolution and/or other requested information, as needed.
- Research on W-2 correction inquiries, provide resolution and coordinate W-2c preparation with third party vendor.
- Provide excellent customer service in researching and responding to payroll tax-related inquiries from employees, agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze multi-state payroll tax data and perform calculations, and ensures that payroll information is reported to federal, state and local agencies as may be required.
- Facilitate timely resolutions of tax notices, in coordination with third-party tax vendor, to avoid penalties and interest.
- Contributes to integrating new payroll tax processes that aim to streamline workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the payroll and tax functions.

- Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills

- Audit handling experience
- Workday knowledge including year-end and W-2
- Advanced Excel skills
- ADP Software knowledge preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred

The typical pay range for this role is:$43,888.00 - $93,574.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
