Actuary - Medicare Part D

Join a dynamic, high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's government services pharmacy business.This role is primarily responsible for modeling pharmacy network contracting arrangements for Aetna's Medicare Part D business and providing actuarial support to key business partners.The colleague will:

• Support development and maintenance of models and processes to assess network contracting strategies and performance against expectations.
• Work with business partners (including those in the PBM and Enterprise Pricing) to understand the details of network contracting strategies and convert these details into financial projections/modeling.
• Support development of pharmacy network assumptions for Aetna's Medicare Part D bids and forecasts.
• Partner with the teams maintaining Part D pricing and forecasting models to ensure alignment on the best approach to modeling network terms/assumptions.
• Effectively balance and manage competing priorities.
• Act as a subject matter expert on assigned projects and concepts.
• Leverage technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions.

• Bachelor's degree along with 3+ years related experience
• Prior healthcare experience required
• ASA or near-ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries)
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python a plus, working with large and detailed data sets is required
• Strong communication skills
• Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment with competing priorities and deadlines

• Prior Pharmacy, Part D, or Medicare Advantage experience
• ASA
