Technical Documentation Associate-Specialist - OCU - Non-Technical - 1st Shift
Job Summary:
Develops standards and rules for the documentation of engine and component products, including applications, and engineering and manufacturing processes; audits documentation; trains less experienced documentation employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and applies product definition and other relevant standards and rules for documenting engine and component products including applications, and engineering and/or manufacturing processes.
Trains, coaches, and mentors less experienced team members and others in the organization.
Leads configuration audits to assess accuracy and compliance of documentation; documents corrections needed; debriefs team members on findings and required corrections; ensures that corrections are entered into the system.
Acts as a resource, mentor, and/or trainer for questions related to product definition standards and rules; interprets rules; decides on solutions or proposes new rules to address unique or new situations.
Maintains a strong understanding of product definition best practices and leading edge practices. Enforces product and process structure and procedure rules/standards.
Interfaces and communicates with internal and external customers; directs people to the appropriate resource; researches solutions and responds to email and phone inquiries.
Initiates, develops, leads, and participates in improvement processes; actively participates in self- and team audits and resulting process improvements. Understands the structure of the organization and maintains a strong network across departments; draws on network to answer questions, solve problems, and successfully execute responsibilities.
Demonstrates confidentiality in execution of all responsibilities. Performs other duties as required, to get the job done.
Travel as required by work.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Experience:
Four year experience/education requirement accomplished through one of the following: Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree and at least two years of relevant experience, or at least four years of relevant experience required.
At least three years of relevant Technical Documentation experience required.
This role will manage the implementation of small to medium complexity Product Engineering Product Improvement Projects (VPCRs) at CMEP. This will include the following activities:

- Manage consistent meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure information is tracked and communicated properly regarding order leadtime, PPAP approvals, shipments, and potential schedule conflicts.
- Identifies internal stakeholders to solve queries and ensures timely compliance with change implementation process activities.
- Ensure documentation related to implementation timelines are up to date, clear, and concise
- Coordinate change implementation activities with cross-functional teams at CMEP
- Drive updates to CMEP internal change implementation forums
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for standard CMEP change implementation process internally and externally
- Ensure CMEP process documentation for change management and implementation process are accurate and easily accessible
- Lead and/or participates in basic and/or complex improvement projects linked to change management processes.
Requirements:
- Must be able to multi-task, managing several projects at once
- Must be comfortable communicating (email, phone, teams etc.) professionally with cross functional teams (inside) and outside of company
- Must be able to drive clarity in ambiguous situations or when provided conflicting information
- Must be a self-starter and act with a sense of urgency
This role will be onsite at CMEP in Columbus, IN and will require a 100% onsite training period. Onsite collaboration is a large part of this role and will be necessary for the role to be successful.
