Supplier Quality Engineer

We are looking for a talented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team specializing in Quality for our Meritor HVS AB - Quality Assurance Department in Lindesberg, Örebro, Sweden. Please note that this is an on-site role and requires working from the office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop suppliers and products that consistently meet customer requirements by leveraging strong quality and technical expertise.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including external suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders such as Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
- Support cross-functional supplier selection processes to ensure optimal component sourcing.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to validate manufacturing processes for compliance with engineering prints, standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Apply industry-standard tools and methodologies such as APQP, AIAG tools, and Cummins-specific processes to achieve zero-defect components.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the external supply base using proven approaches like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Conduct supplier audits to mitigate risk, assess readiness, and improve overall supplier performance.
- Lead resolution of supplier-related quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective action development, and effectiveness verification.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Effective Communication Skills - Ability to develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences.
- Customer Focus - Strong capability to build relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Supplier Quality Project Planning & Execution - Proficiency in applying APQP principles to create and implement quality plans that enable suppliers to meet expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Skill in facilitating communication and coordination across teams when projects involve external suppliers.
Education/ Experience:
- Proficiency in Swedish required.
- College, university degree, or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical/scientific discipline.
- Preferably, relevant experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering role within the automotive industry or another similarly regulated industry.
