Solution Architect Principals #IN1255
Assess and apply new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in alignment with the enterprise architecture strategies. Define new architecture solutions where needs are identified. Define complex application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project teams. Define and develop architecture deliverables, artifacts and building blocks by applying architecture principles by using an architecture development framework and methodology that enables the organization to transform the design of its systems in a controlled manner in response to business needs. Define component breakdown of the system, perform functional allocation to components, and establish interface between systems and among system components. Compose and decompose a system into component parts using Solution Functional Fit analysis to study how well the components were designed and configured to interact holistically to meet business requirements. Develop standards, design patterns and configurations that can be reused as building blocks for other solutions. Utilize Machine Learning and Generative AI to build Advanced Analytics Solutions for the business. Define operating models and deployment patterns utilizing tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Copado, SonarQube, etc. Define DevOps and incorporate Code Analysis to ensure Security of application. Utilize data analysis tools such as extraction, modeling, communication, and management to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions to business needs. Collaborate with project and product teams to understand requested capabilities and provide correct solutions. Perform complex cost/benefit analysis when researching future state capabilities. Audit solution design to ensure compliance with architectural patterns and standards. Monitor architecture solution performance and prevent performance issues when introducing new capabilities to the system. Create System Solution Architecture designs and patterns using CLEAN standards, and existing reference patterns to maintain alignment to Cummins standards. Collaborate with stakeholders, including functional excellence teams, to apply strategy to future state architecture. Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and focus on driving comparative advantage for the product, function, and global business unit
Positions require a Master's degree in Information Systems or Technology, Data or Computer Science, or related field, and 3 years of experience as an IT Analyst, Software Developer or Architect, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Technology, Data or Computer Science, or related field, and 6 years of experience as an IT Analyst, Software Developer or Architect, or related position. Experience to include: Complex Application and Solution Design; Architecture development framework and methodology to design systems; Perform functional allocation to system components; Solution Functional Fit analysis; Machine Learning and Generative AI for Advanced Analytics Solutions; Define DevOps and incorporate Code Analysis to ensure Security of application; Data Extraction, Modeling, Literacy, Communication and Visualization; Ensure compliance with architectural patterns and standards; Monitor system performance; System solution architecture designs using CLEAN standards.
