DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Service Technician to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Finland.
Working along established shift cycle in Kevitsa Mine.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and complex repairs on QSK60 T4 engines used in Komatsu 830E-5 mining trucks, following established service procedures and safety standards.
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble engines and engine components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and proactive checks to minimize equipment downtime and extend engine life.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and wiring schematics to identify and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Assist senior technicians with advanced diagnostics, repair planning, and technical problem-solving to support continuous learning and skill development.
- Document all service activities accurately, including work completed, parts used, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality assurance records in both manual and digital systems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop area in a clean, safe, and operational condition to ensure efficient workflow.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, reporting any hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Proven experience working with high-horsepower diesel engines and mining equipment, with strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and use of diagnostic software and tools.
- Solid technical understanding of modern diesel engine systems, including emission controls and engine component architecture.
- Fluent in Finnish, Good level of English with excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills, fostering effective collaboration and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated adaptability, self-development mindset, and ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences in dynamic operational environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit!
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
