We are looking for a talented Service Information and Training Development Specialist to join our team in Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies in Galesburg, MI.

This role is an employee of the Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies. Internal candidates are defined as employees of the ECJV.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Develop Service Solutions: Create clear, accurate technical service information that enables technicians to efficiently diagnose and repair products, helping maximize customer uptime and satisfaction.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain effective partnerships with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, suppliers, and service stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Deliver Effective Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience-appropriate communications, training materials, and service documentation.
  • Drive Sound Decisions: Analyze data, evaluate options, and make timely, informed decisions that support project success and continuous business progress.
  • Execute with Results: Manage priorities effectively, meet project milestones, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead Training Excellence: Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs that improve learner capability, knowledge retention, and on-the-job performance.
  • Manage Complex Projects: Coordinate scope, schedules, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure projects are completed efficiently and achieve intended business impact.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies, resolve service information challenges, leverage resources effectively, and promote an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and innovative solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Create High-Quality Service Information: Develop accurate service documentation and training content from engineering data and subject matter expert input to support effective product installation, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Drive Standardization and Continuous Improvement: Maintain work procedures, promote consistent development practices, and lead improvement initiatives that enhance content quality, reduce complexity, and lower development costs.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Serve as the voice of Service Information and Training on new product introduction teams, partnering with engineering, regional teams, and stakeholders to communicate requirements, schedules, resource needs, and program status.
  • Lead Change and Support Global Consistency: Manage service information updates, training quality concerns, and customer feedback while guiding regional teams to ensure standardized, high-quality service information that is easy to translate, reuse, and maintain throughout the product lifecycle.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Demonstrated aptitude is required. College, university, or equivalent Associate's degree or certification in an appropriate STEM field is required.

Equivalent Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline area may be required for select roles.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

  • Coordinate and maintain the annual training calendar, course catalog, and training metrics to support achievement of organizational revenue and performance objectives.
  • Communicate training schedules, enrollment opportunities, and program updates to managers, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with training facilitators to coordinate logistics, training resources, and administrative support for instructor-led and virtual learning events.
  • Administer and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS), including management of vendor relationships, system enhancements, and user support.
  • Manage the development, maintenance, and timely distribution of training materials, including presentations, computer-based training modules, participant guides, and supporting resources.
  • Collect, analyze and report training participation, evaluation results, and effectiveness metrics to training leadership and facilitators.
  • Coordinate post-training activities, including participant follow-up, certification tracking, and engagement with customer finance or administrative teams as required.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to field sales and service organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Communications team to ensure training content remains aligned with current service literature, technical publications, and product updates.
  • Support the planning, execution, of continuous improvement of training programs, processes, and learning initiatives to enhance the customer and employee learning experience.
