DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Leader to join our team specializing in Health and Safety in Maersta, Stockholm, Sweden
This role will report to Regional HSE Manager.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Build and sustain a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture by embedding management systems into daily site operations.
- Translate Cummins' HSE strategy into clear short- and long-term site plans that drive continual improvement.
- Partner across functions to ensure shared ownership, accountability, and engagement in HSE responsibilities.
- Identify hazards, environmental aspects, and compliance risks, turning insights into targeted risk-reduction actions.
- Lead site-level HSE programs, policies, and assessments that meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Use data and performance metrics to proactively improve HSE outcomes and prevent incidents.
- Provide hands-on leadership during daily HSE operations, supporting incident investigations, management of change, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Strengthen organizational capability through training, coaching, and development of teams and future HSE leaders.

- Commitment to developing people, fostering inclusion, and modeling positive HSE leadership behaviors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university required; degree in Health, Safety, and/or Environmental disciplines preferred.
- Professional HSE certification (or progress toward certification) preferred.
- Intermediate experience managing HSE programs and applying ISO-based management systems.
- Working knowledge of Swedish HSE regulations required (and experience in dealings with "arbetsmiljöverket"); familiarity with Norwegian and Finnish regulations strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
- Experience in construction or project-based environments preferred, along with exposure to multi-site operations.
