We are looking for a talented Senior Customer Process Quality Engineer to join our team specializing in QUALITY for CUMMINS in San Luis Potosí, SLP (100% On site role)
Job Summary:
Quality Process is the area responsible for monitoring internal quality rejections originating in the process and reported by customers. We interact with various stakeholders-corporate, plant, and inter-company clients-as well as follow up on supplier-related issues.
This enables us to track our internal stakeholders (operations and multidisciplinary teams) and provide timely responses to our external customers. The role is key in serving as the interface that ensures corrective and preventive actions, as well as root cause analyses, are communicated and implemented in a timely and effective manner.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Solid experience as a Process Quality Engineer or/and Customer Quality Engineer.
- Experience in the machining process is required.
- Core tools (PFMEA, CONTROL PLAN, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP),
- GD&T, ISO and IATF16949 or VDA
- Strong Problem Solving (7-steps, FTAs, RCAs)
- Advanced English.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering or related.
- Strong experience in machining, demonstrating history in technical problem solving and quality decision-making with customer focus.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally 10% of the time
Preferred (Desirable):
- Desirable Green Belt Certification (IQTM, etc.).
- Basic understanding and application of key Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) tools.
- Experience in project management
- Desirable supervisory or leadership experience
Qualifications
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Liaison between the customer and the plant supports maintaining a good relationship with the customer.
- Lead the Product and Process Failure Reporting systems as well as Corrective/Preventive Actions.
- Application of problem-solving methodologies for internal issues and external customer complaints (7 Steps, 8D's, 6S, RCA, FTA, 5 Whys).
- Follow up on internal and external actions to demonstrate leadership in timely closing and prompt customer response.
- Reports and trend analysis to act on time and improve key indicators.
- Technical customer management and direct contact
- Technical team Lead (Auditors and quality technicians), develop talent
- Project Support in the launch of the new introduction products and PPAP following
