We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Malaysia. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic multinational environment and is passionate about financial excellence, compliance, continuous improvement, and business partnership.

As a key member of the Finance team, you will support financial reporting activities, maintain strong internal controls, provide financial insights to stakeholders, and help drive operational efficiency across the business.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring financial results are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial schedules, and management reports.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, company policies, and Malaysian statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, supporting audit requests and driving timely resolution of findings.
  • Partner with tax advisors and relevant stakeholders to support tax compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and improve accounting processes through automation and best practices.
  • Coach and support junior team members while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Movex, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
