DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented School to Work - Purchasing person to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI .

*This position will require 2-3 days of on-site work in Troy, MI.

Directly assist the Central Purchasing Team with various activities designed to achieve continuous improvements, compliance, reporting, and data integrity. This role will support in project execution, assisting with the preparation of reports, and aiding in system-related support and tasks such as maintenance, data entry, and responding to user inquiries from the Purchasing department. Involvement with cross-functional teams will include Information Technology, Finance, and Accounts Payable.

Support a team of 6 Buyers & 2 Purchasing Managers in daily purchasing tasks: Administrative (PO Updates), Project Specific & adhoc

• Lead Monthly Team Reporting - Savings Pipeline & Open Projects

• Lead RFQs for Unsourced parts list (PURCH)

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Organization skills

• Strong Email communication skills

• Ability to prioritizing multiple tasks

Education/Experience

• Be at least 16 years of age.

Currently a student in either high school or college/university preferably majoring in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management (Baccalaureate level preferred)
