Specific information about the area:

Focus on technical sales and service, warranty management, and management of the Cummins Meritor rear axle service center for customer service. Management of indirect suppliers for operations.

Activities:

  • Management of Expenses and Continuous Improvement Projects at the Service Center.
  • Manage and control expenses generated at the Service Center and develop continuous improvement projects for different areas.
  • Support the management of expenses generated at the Service Center in order to generate clear and accurate indicators to find the 80-20 rule of current expenses and seek to establish savings strategies and/or expense justification based on the analysis of existing expenses and the use of materials in the operation. Timeline: Q1-Q4 2026.
  • Development of continuous improvement projects: Seek to develop continuous improvement projects in safety, ergonomics, and productivity in order to improve current indicators from safety and process audits, seeking to have a beneficial impact to maintain safety indicators at 0 events and seek to improve process productivity without sacrificing current ergonomics, generate work plans, and present them to coordination and management with their due justifications.
  • Digitalization of the Service Center: Assess the feasibility of developing a project focused on digitizing current management tools for capturing operational data. With the ongoing digitization of processes, it is important to seek to generate a digital format for capturing process data that helps generate information.

Responsibilities

The requirements are as follows:

  • Availability for 1 year as an active student (enrolled at the University until May-June 2027).
  • Availability to work 7 hours in the morning from Monday to Friday, preferably from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., from February 2026 to March 2027.
  • Student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • Interest in mechanics.
  • Have your RFC.
  • English level: Intermediate (speaking, writing, and listening).
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
