DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Support Technician performs non-production activities that support manufacturing processes in alignment with Cummins' quality, safety, and productivity standards. Operating in a dynamic manufacturing environment, the role requires limited supervision and focuses on continuous improvement, process optimization, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.
- Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
- Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Promote a culture of safety and interdependence.
- Correct hazards within scope and capability.
- Minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices.
- Participate actively in HSE training programs.
Quality
- Adhere to standard work procedures, process documentation, and policies.
- Identify and report quality concerns to reduce costs and risks.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with specifications.
Delivery & Operations
- Execute assigned tasks in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate high competency in core manufacturing skills.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality, safety, and process efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Apply Cummins Operating System (COS) and Operations Excellence (OE) methodologies.
- Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal process performance.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet manufacturing goals.
Teamwork & Communication
- Communicate effectively with team members and support functions.
- Engage in ongoing training and personal development aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving quality, safety, material flow, and employee development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications
- High School and ITI or Diploma.
- Additional technical certifications in welding, robotics, or mechanical engineering are preferred.
- Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.\

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience
Technical Knowledge
- Robotic Welding Teaching Knowledge.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Fixture Design and Maintenance.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) of Fixtures and Hydraulic Trollies.
- Documentation and Process Control (FMEA, Work Instructions, Control Plans).
Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
