Product Functional Test Instrumentation Tech 2nd Shift- Level II
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Deliver reliable test results by accurately performing routine setups, calibrations, and repetitive testing that engineers depend on for decision-making
• Build and maintain critical hardware by fabricating test rigs, fixtures, harnesses, and assembling electronic and mechanical systems
• Ensure measurement accuracy by installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instruments like gauges, transducers, and fuel/oil test systems
• Minimize downtime by quickly diagnosing and repairing issues in test cells, cooling systems, and data acquisition setups
• Support engineering efficiency by correctly reading wiring diagrams and executing test plans with precision and consistency
• Provide actionable insights by documenting clear, standardized test results that help teams validate performance and improve designs
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration by effectively working with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues
• Drive continuous improvement by contributing to quality procedures, audits, and process enhancement initiatives

• Execute precise builds and setups by assembling test articles and configuring test environments correctly, with attention to instrumentation placement, safety, and test integrity

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Computer literacy and proficiency is an absolute must
Some mechanical aptitude
Basic to intermediate skillset in troubleshooting, and diagnostics
Be familiar and comfortable with 12V, 24V, 48V DC circuits and components
Must be able to become 120V certified and ok working on 120V circuits regularly
Basic to intermediate use of proprietary software, ability to retrieve fault codes
Basic to intermediate understanding and ability in computer networking, TCIP, IP addressing
Basic to intermediate understanding of PC hardware
Ideal Candidates would have:
Experience with Emissions equipment
PID closed loop controller experience
Computer Programming
Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN-BUS
