Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level II

We are looking for a talented Power Generation Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Services, Maintenance and Diagnostics for our Service Operations Department in Accra, Ghana.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Deliver efficient, high-quality on-site repairs by accurately diagnosing and resolving less complex generator and component issues.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by engaging professionally, responding promptly, and anticipating customer needs at every interaction.
- Ensure effective problem-solving by using specialized tools and following documented procedures to identify faults and complete repairs correctly the first time.
- Support operational reliability by performing preventative maintenance in line with scheduled standards, reducing downtime and equipment failure.
- Maintain service continuity by proactively escalating complex or unresolved issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
- Contribute to accurate tracking and compliance by completing all required documentation, including service reports, timesheets, and warranty claims.
- Strengthen service readiness by maintaining tools and service vehicles in optimal, clean, and operational condition.
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment by strictly adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and reporting any risks or incidents promptly.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Produce clear, accurate technical documentation by effectively capturing service activities, failure analyses, and reports in a structured and professional manner.
- Leverage digital tools and systems by confidently using diagnostic software and maintenance platforms to track, manage, and optimize service workflows.
- Apply strong technical and analytical skills by interpreting electronic diagnostic tools and understanding system interactions to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Demonstrate solid product and systems knowledge by safely performing repairs and maintenance to a high standard, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry and company guidelines.
Education/ Experience
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification
- Locally valid driving permit.
- Basic level field service work experience.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products.
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience.
- Customer service experience.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
