Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level II

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Engage customers courteously and professionally.
  • Use specialized tools and follow procedures to diagnose and complete repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on power generation products.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors.
  • Complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, etc.).
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
  • Diagnostics & Repairs: Use specialized tools and procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on power generation products.
  • Issue Escalation: Refer unresolved issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete service records, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Training & Development: Participate in required training programs.
  • Vehicle & Tool Maintenance: Keep service vehicle and tools clean and operational.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all safety policies and report incidents promptly.

Education & Certifications

  • Preferred: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician.
  • Vocational diploma in a relevant technical field.
  • Current electrical certification and valid driver's license.

Experience

  • Basic field service experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of power generation products.
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
  • Strong customer service background.
