Power Generation Field Service Technician

Cummins is looking for a Field service Power generation to join our Distribution business in Edmonton, AB.

This is a field service diesel technician role servicing the Edmonton metropolitan region. - Enjoy the convenience and benefits of a company supplied vehicle.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Anticipate and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field
- Escalate unresolved issues to Supervisor.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Red seal electrical certification is required for this role.
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to obtain an enhanced security clearance
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
- Intermediate level field service work experience (Customer facing role).
- Previous advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with of PG products (load bank, PM'S, etc).
- PG and High / Low Voltage experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Basic diesel engine experience
About the role:
- Position is based in Edmonton and servicing the Edmonton metropolitan region.
- Working hours: Monday-Friday 730am to 330pm
- Rotation on-call every 3 weeks
- Unionized environment
- Hourly salary: 48.32$ as per current CBA plus hourly field service premium.
