Operations improvement Apprentice trainee
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a motivated Operations / Manufacturing Intern to support our production team in improving processes and reducing waste. You will work directly on the shop floor with operators, supervisors, and engineers to understand daily activities and identify improvement opportunities.
This internship is hands-on. You will not only analyze data but also observe real operations, test improvements, and follow up on results. You will help transform operational data into clear dashboards and presentations that support decision-making.
You will gain practical experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, and data-driven manufacturing.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset and curiosity about how things work
- Comfortable interacting with operators and technical teams on the shop floor
- Structured and organized way of working
- Ability to turn data into clear insights
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written) also in Dutch.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Required Skills / Education / Experience (2-4)
- Student in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Quality.
- Knowledge of Excel (formulas, tables, data organization)
- Interest in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
- Willingness to work hands-on in a production environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Core Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing teams in identifying and implementing process improvements and waste reduction actions
- Collect operational data on the shop floor and monitor performance indicators
- Create, maintain, and analyze databases and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
