Operations Excellence Specialist - Senior
DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage Operational Excellence projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and performance tracking.
• Facilitate project planning sessions with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and performance goals.
• Apply continuous improvement tools and Cummins Operating standards to drive manufacturing excellence on shop floor.
• Identify and mitigate project risks using quality tools and cross-functional collaboration.
• Coach and guide team members through project stages, providing developmental feedback and support.
• Coordinate with global business and functional leaders to set plant maturity goals and execute improvement roadmaps.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and complex manufacturing problem-solving.
• Share learnings across teams and contribute to the development of subject-matter expertise within the plant.
• Champion continuous and step-change improvement efforts aligned with customer and business needs.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
Relevant certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies are a plus.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including manufacturing or manufacturing plant experience, team leadership experience, preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
• Proven track record of applying continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
Skills
• Strong project management and facilitation skills.
• Deep understanding of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
• Ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Proficiency in using quality tools and data-driven decision-making.
