Multiskilled Maintenance Technician

DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Multiskilled Maintenance Technician specializing in Manufacturing for our Maintenance Department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom.
This is a permanent on-site position, working 35 hours per week with flexibility working shifts.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Carry out preventive, corrective, emergency and predictive maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Apply strong electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot issues, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement.
- Drive high standards of workmanship by performing maintenance activities using diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Support equipment failure analysis and contribute feedback to improve preventive maintenance plans.
- Help maintain a safe workplace by identifying hazards, following safe systems of work, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Lead and guide team members with less experience, acting as a technical resource and supporting knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with peers and support teams to resolve constraints, enhance processes, and optimize material flow.
- Participate actively in local TPM initiatives to improve quality, safety, workflow, and team capability.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma, secondary education certificate, or equivalent experience aligned with applicable regulations.
- Electrically biased multiskilled or mechatronic background (essential).
- Significant hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of assembly line and machine tool maintenance.
- Advantageous experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) and beneficial exposure to software integration and fault-finding.
