We are looking for a talented Maintenance Leader to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) location at York, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive Predictive Reliability: Leverage manufacturing prognostics, advanced analytics, and real-time equipment data to anticipate failures, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve operational performance.
- Lead Strategic Projects: Manage capital and operational projects by balancing scope, schedule, and resources to deliver measurable business results and sustainable improvements.
- Optimize Maintenance Performance: Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies using equipment data and maintenance records to improve reliability, efficiency, and productivity.
- Enable Data-Driven Decisions: Extract meaningful insights through data mining, visualization, and trend analysis to identify opportunities, solve problems, and support informed decision-making.
- Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to align priorities, resolve challenges, and achieve shared manufacturing objectives.
- Build and Develop High-Performing Teams: Foster an inclusive team environment that values diverse perspectives, develops talent, and empowers employees to contribute at their highest potential.
- Champion Safety and Operational Excellence: Model proactive health and safety behaviors while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Balance Priorities and Stakeholder Needs: Plan, prioritize, and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders, ensuring commitments are met while adapting to changing business and operational requirements.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Set the Strategic Direction: Develop and execute the Maintenance mission, vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap, ensuring alignment with Cummins Operating System (COS) principles and plant business priorities.
- Drive Equipment Reliability: Lead TPM initiatives, optimize preventive maintenance programs, improve equipment criticality processes, and ensure effective shutdown planning to maximize uptime and operational performance.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement reliability, maintenance, and process improvement opportunities that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Develop High-Performing Teams: Build a strong maintenance culture through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, apprenticeship development, recognition, accountability, and employee ownership.
- Deliver Business Results: Manage maintenance AOPs, budgets, KPIs, resources, and customer agreements to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Lead Capital Improvement Initiatives: Oversee capital projects from planning through execution, ensuring investments support long-term reliability, capacity, and business growth objectives.
- Build Strong Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to resolve challenges, align priorities, and drive site-wide success.
- Advance Standardization and Best Practices: Represent Maintenance across the site and broader organization by promoting benchmarking, knowledge sharing, standardization, and continuous improvement to elevate overall performance.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related bachelor degree or higher, required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory and leadership experience, required.
- Develop and lead the site Maintenance Mission, Vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap aligned with Cummins COS and plant business priorities.
- Drive equipment reliability and operational excellence through TPM, PM optimization, equipment criticality, shutdown planning, and continuous improvement.
- Lead people development and culture through coaching, succession planning, apprenticeship development, recognition, accountability, and ownership.
- Manage Maintenance AOP, budget, KPIs, resources, customer agreements, and capital improvement projects to achieve site business objectives.
- Represent Maintenance across the site and broader organization, driving cross-functional collaboration, benchmarking, standardization, and continuous improvement .
- This role is 100% onsite
- This role manages approximately 15 to 20 hourly team members across three shifts
