Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

Assists with planning and executing the preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Works with teams in the maintenance organization and assists line employees in basic maintenance procedures. Assists Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering in problem identification, trouble shooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair. Assists with spare parts and indirect materials inventory by using a computerized maintenance management system. Assists with equipment engineering design evaluations. Builds preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment is available and capable. Competencies:

Drawing Interpretation - Integrates product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to support the design and development of an optimal manufacturing process that meets product design specifications.

Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.

Preventative and Predictive Maintenance - Interprets machine and tool maintenance records and data to develop and execute preventative and predictive management strategies to drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.
