We are looking for a talented Jira Developer to join our team specializing in IT for our CUMMINS in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Jira Developer with 2-4 years of experience to support the development, configuration, and maintenance of our Atlassian ecosystem. This role will focus on Jira Software and Jira Service Management, contributing to workflow automation, dashboard creation, and integration support. The ideal candidate will work closely with platform leads, business users, and other developers to deliver scalable solutions, while also gaining exposure to enterprise tools such as Apptio and LeanIX as part of their professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Development & Configuration
- Configure Jira projects, workflows, screens, permissions, and custom fields based on business requirements.
- Develop and maintain automation rules using Jira Automation and ScriptRunner.
- Assist in plugin management and testing new apps or features.
- Support platform upgrades and routine maintenance activities.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, and customizations.
- Support testing efforts and ensure quality in deployments and updates.

Integration Support
- Collaborate with senior developers and architects to support integrations with tools like Apptio, LeanIX, and Confluence.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow and system connectivity.
Functional Collaboration
- Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into Jira configurations.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to support team productivity and visibility.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop KPIs to achieve Powercell transformation across IT.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Required
- 1-2 years of experience working with Jira Software or Jira Service Management.
- Basic understanding of Jira administration, workflows, and permission schemes.
- Familiarity with scripting tools like ScriptRunner or Jira Automation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Advanced English.
Preferred
- Exposure to Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Bitbucket, or Trello.
- Experience with REST APIs or basic integration concepts.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and ITSM practices.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
